PassTheWords is a deterministic password generator. It is a tool, not an account service or password vault. We do not guarantee that it will meet any particular security, availability, compatibility, or reliability requirement.
Passwords are generated from the data you enter, including your private KEY, ACCOUNT, and selected output type. You are solely responsible for:
- choosing a strong, secret private KEY;
- entering the correct ACCOUNT and selecting the intended output;
- keeping your naming rules consistent if you want to regenerate passwords;
- deciding where and how you use generated passwords and PINs.
PassTheWords does not store, log, or upload your private KEY, ACCOUNT, or generated passwords. We cannot restore or recover any forgotten KEY, ACCOUNT, password, or PIN.
PIN outputs are intended for limited-attempt PIN fields. They are not a substitute for full passwords and are not suitable for systems that allow unlimited online guessing or offline brute-force verification.
We may update algorithms, word lists, interface text, or security rules. Such changes may affect newly generated outputs. When compatibility matters, keep a record of the version and output type you used.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or claim arising from:
- the use or misuse of PassTheWords;
- weak, guessable, mistyped, forgotten, or leaked private KEYs;
- incorrect ACCOUNT names, output choices, or rotation suffixes;
- compromised devices, browsers, extensions, keyloggers, or malware;
- third-party attacks on accounts where generated passwords are used.
PassTheWords does not provide user accounts or password storage. We are not obligated to provide support, recovery, or incident investigation for individual users.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of PassTheWords after changes are published means you accept the updated Terms.

PassTheWords does not require registration and does not create user accounts.
Password generation is performed locally in your browser, based on the data you enter. Your private KEY, ACCOUNT, and generated passwords are not sent to our server by the password generator.
The page may store local preferences in your browser, such as language, tips display, and ad display settings. These preferences are not your private KEY or generated passwords.
Our hosting environment may keep minimal technical logs, such as IP address, request path, user agent, and timestamp, for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. These logs are not linked to your private KEY or generated passwords.
Hosting, security, analytics, advertising, or content delivery providers may process limited technical data. We do not share your private KEY, ACCOUNT, or generated passwords with them. Ads or third-party content may be subject to the privacy policies of their providers.
The security of your passwords also depends on your device and browser environment. PassTheWords cannot protect against malicious browser extensions, injected scripts, keyloggers, malware, screen capture tools, or compromised systems.
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. Continued use of PassTheWords after changes are published means you accept the updated Notice.
